Terms of Service

Welcome to GrindLog. By downloading, installing, or using the GrindLog application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

GrindLog is a gamified fitness tracking application that allows users to log workouts, track body metrics, earn experience points (XP), achieve ranks and badges, and monitor their fitness progress. The App includes features such as RPG-style stat progression, streak tracking, coach messages, and optional Apple HealthKit integration.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use GrindLog. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

3. Account & User Data

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You retain full ownership of the data you provide (workout logs, body metrics, profile information).
• You may delete all of your data at any time through the App's settings.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose — personal fitness tracking and motivation. You shall not:

• Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities for unfair advantage or to disrupt the service.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through any social or community feature.
• Upload or transmit offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content.

5. Gamification & Health Disclaimer

GrindLog's XP system, ranks, badges, levels, RPG stats, and coach messages are designed purely for motivation and entertainment purposes. They do not constitute:

• Medical advice or diagnosis.
• Professional fitness training or programming.
• A clinical assessment of your health, physical capabilities, or readiness to exercise.

You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning, modifying, or intensifying any exercise program. GrindLog is not liable for any injuries, health complications, or adverse effects that may result from exercise activities tracked through the App.

6. Apple HealthKit Integration

If you choose to grant access, GrindLog may read data from Apple HealthKit (e.g., heart rate, active calories). This integration is entirely optional. HealthKit data is:

• Used only to display health metrics within the App.
• Never shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
• Never used for advertising or marketing purposes.

You may revoke HealthKit access at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your device.

7. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

• GrindLog offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions (GrindLog PRO).
• All subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID via the App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
• No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription period, in accordance with Apple's refund policies.

8. Advertising

GrindLog displays advertisements to free-tier users through Google AdMob. By using the free version of the App, you consent to the display of banner, interstitial, and opt-in rewarded advertisements.

• PRO subscribers enjoy a completely ad-free experience. No advertisements are shown to PRO users.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device's App Tracking Transparency settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
• Advertising data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.

10. Intellectual Property

All content within GrindLog — including but not limited to graphics, UI design, badge artwork, character models, animations, text, and code — is the intellectual property of GrindLog and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GrindLog and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Physical injury or health issues related to exercise.
• Loss of data or account information.
• Interruption or unavailability of the service.

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
